Who we are

BroadbandPilot is a UK broadband information project. For privacy enquiries, contact info@broadbandpilot.co.uk. Data controller legal identity and contact details will be confirmed before public launch.

What information we process

If you email us, we receive the personal information you choose to send, including your email address and message. We use it to respond to your enquiry and handle related correspondence. The postcode demonstration on the home page checks input format within your browser; it does not send the postcode to a broadband availability service.

Our lawful basis

For ordinary business enquiries, our intended lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to enquiries. We will review this for the final notice and provide further detail if new features introduce other processing.

Who receives information

Email service providers and hosting service providers may process information to deliver the website or email service. The exact providers and any overseas transfers need to be confirmed.

Retention and your rights

We aim to retain enquiry correspondence only as long as needed for the enquiry and legitimate record keeping; a retention period must be confirmed. Depending on circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
